This one I am having difficulty understanding. Isn't faith a part of all beliefs regardless of the ones that just incorporate trust, love or hope? Even the beelief that science will rule out, you have to have some faith that that thinking is correct.
ReplyDeleteThe key component of a faith belief is that there is an active choice of the will in the presence of known uncertainty. Of course there are unprovable elements of all the mechanisms (why this sort of logic rather than some other?, e.g.), but the key to a faith on my scheme is that you actively and deliberately choose a view when you aren't sure.
