Procedural note

I know there hasn't been a homework put on the blog in a little while, and there won't be one for this week either. The reason is that we're moving through the material at about 1/3 the pace of a normal class (3 hours per week), so the homework (which is designed to prepare your thinking for the lecture) would be even more out of sync with the class if I assigned one this week. Next week there will be one, so check back. Sorry about the confusion.
